Un Conjunto de djs de diversas zonas del área metropolitana se unen para definir un nuevo sonido basado en el reggaetón y en la cumbia, llamado cumbiatón. Liderados por Pablito Mix, esta agrupación de pinchadiscos crece en popularidad y lleva su sonido a antros y foros dentro y fuera del DF.
El DJ comenta que la fusión de ritmos latinos que está presente en su disco Perrea Con Delivery tiene como antecedente el reguetón colombiano.
"Cumbia is not only trendy now, cumbia is ancestral knowledge that has been passed down from our elders and that we have a duty to share, but more than anything, cumbia is something that brings our communities together," Pech said.
“El malianteo viene de Puerto Rico y se viene aplicando en las instrumentales de reggaetón. Vos podés hacer reggaetón comercial, podés hacer reggaetón malianteo… yo el malianteo me lo tomo como una temática”, explica el mismo Zaramay en su Caja Negra, que aún se declara como el responsable de acontecer hecho que explote el reggaetón argentino en otras partes del mundo.
